One of my friends always says that March comes “in like a lion and out like a lamb.” It was never my favorite saying (and she knows, LOL) but I think especially after last March, more than a few of us are still traumatized. I don’t want to jinx it, but so far the month has entered like a lamb, and hopefully leaving like a little dog with their tail between their legs!
My March mood board was based on beautiful shades of blue, because—I don’t know about you—I can’t help but be a little relaxed when I look up and there’s a beautiful, clear, bright blue sky. My hopes are for nothing more than a calm, somewhat under-the-radar month. It was this month last year that I, along with so many others, had life turned upside down. Jobs were lost, businesses closed, and we couldn’t leave our houses. Now, if you’ve been with me since the beginning of my blog launch or friends with me/following along on Instagram, you know that I adapted within the first couple of weeks once I was furloughed, and found happiness at home that I didn’t even know I needed. It surprised NOBODY more than me that I found purpose in playing with my daughter every day; watching her grow, trying to teach her and enjoying her company. Being given so much more time with my daughter, I found that my most important job in life was being a mom. (More to come on that in a separate post).
So yeah, it took a minute, but the events of last year were a blessing in disguise—at least for me. No, it hasn’t been easy every single day, and the stressors that initially disappeared have returned full force, but I’ve made it through and continue to do so. And I know that you can make it through as well! I think if nothing else, the main difference from a year ago is that most of us have learned what really matters in life and have reprioritized. I hope for an easy-peasy March for anyone reading this, and of course to let you know, if it’s not going so easily and you need someone, I’m here for you! My emails, DM’s, and comments are always open!💙
*As always, if you’re interested in the BTS of how I made my mood board this month, you can watch the Reel here!
