Better late than never for my May mood board, right? May has certainly been an interesting month thus far. My main intentions for this month were to hone my creativity again into a positive place, regain my focus, and manifest a warm, beautiful month full of sunshine. To me, yellow signifies the warmth of an embrace from the sun. Reminiscent of all things spring, happy, and cheerful, I was determined to let this month indeed be full of “May flowers”! It looks like there are some exciting opportunities on the horizon for me, and I’m looking forward to continuing to share my journey with y’all!💛
I’ve had a couple of new articles published on Making It In Manhattan that you can check out here. I’ve also recently been accepted to a freelance writing agency that does ghostwriting/uncredited blog posts for a handful of blogs. While it’s kind of a bummer to not have a by-line, it takes the pressure off a little knowing that little keyboard warriors and internet trolls aren’t going to try to hunt me down if they don’t agree with one of my statements. Plus, at the risk of sounding like a sellout, while I enjoy all the topics I write about, I’m making sure to not write anything that I would want to link in my portfolio, since I won’t be able to.
In addition to that, we’ve got a little bit of home reno going on, and have recently (*literally* two days ago) redone our floors. We got the carpet ripped up and hardwood laminate (is that the right term? idk) installed. I would love to share some updated home content since our place now feels brand new! Let me know if that is something you’d like to see! And Harper’s first dance recital is coming up this weekend, so I’m kind of in dance mom mode (“You’re doing amazing, sweetie!” lol but really though!) I’m so nervous but excited for her. She genuinely enjoys dancing, and I cannot wait to see her up on stage shining bright like the beautiful little (pop) star she is! Once that craziness is over (and then comp bootcamp begins 🥴) I’ll hopefully be posting a little more regularly on here! She and I also just recently did a shoot with Lauren and OMG I can’t wait to share those images with you! I’ve been wanting to do a mama/mini photoshoot since the day I found out I was having a girl, and I’m so excited that it’s finally happened!!
Circling back to the mood board, as always, if you want to enjoy the Reel I made while assembling it, please feel free to check it out here! Thanks so much for reading, and I promise there’ll be another post sooner than later! And sorry for all the exclamation points…. I can’t help myself sometimes.
